Coronavirus covid-19 blog

In light of recent events surrounding the Covid-19 virus, we at UAVHUB are putting in special measures to protect its customers, students and its staff.

As part of these special measures, we have had special dispensation from the CAA to deliver ALL of our GVC and A2 CofC Drone Course via remote learning and virtual classrooms, including your examinations until further notice.

Theory Courses

We have been granted temporary special permission from the CAA to deliver all of our GVC and A2 CofC theory courses and examinations via remote learning. We shall be implementing this effective 30th March 2020 and all customers affected will be contacted ASAP with details on how they will be able to join the virtual classroom sessions from their home devices.

The safety of our customers and staff is of the utmost importance to us at UAVHUB, and this new measure will help to combat the fight against Covid-19 and ensure that our customers can continue to learn and attain their Operational Authorisation and A2 Certificate of Competency from the CAA.

If you wish to book onto a GVC Drone Course or an A2 CofC drone course and learn remotely, you can book by clicking the links below.

Flight Assessments

Due to the addressment from the Prime Minister on 23rd March 2020 we are suspending all Flight Assessments until further notice. You will not be able to book in for a Flight Test until we receive further guidance from the government.

We at UAVHUB feel this is the right thing to do in light of the current situation.

We are contacting all students currently booked in within the next 3 weeks (starting 24th March 2020) to postpone their flight examinations until further notice.

For students who are booked in for a later date beyond 13th April we will be in touch within the next few weeks.

The below guidance is still in place for when Flight Assessments resume:

Instructors are not to greet clients using physical contact such as hand-shakes and are to maintain a 2-metre separation from clients at all times whilst conducting the examinations.

Instructors are not to help clients carry equipment, unlock aircraft, aid in the control of an aircraft or to handle the client 'paperwork' at any time.

The student will be requested to brief the examiner as normal and the assessment will continue as normal from there.

Planning paperwork will be requested to be sent digitally to courses@uavhub.com for the examiner to inspect when they have returned to their respected home.

Stay Safe

We would like to thank all of our customers and students for their continued support during these troubled times and we would like to send our messages of support to all those affected by this virus.

Stay safe,

The UAVHUB Team
