We sometimes get asked when people are producing their Operations Manual and are using Flock Cover for Pay As You Fly Insurance, where to find the Cover Note in the app.
It takes only a couple of steps and will be instantly emailed to you.
Download and register with Flock Cover
Firstly, download the app from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android).
Register for an account - it's quite simple and straightforward, and you'll be set up in minutes.
Request your Cover Note
Open the menu and select 'Your Details'.
In the 'Your Details' page, scroll down (and in quite small text), under Applying for, or renewing, your PfCO? Select 'Request your Cover Note here'.
See below for examples.

Unaccepted policyholder name on Cover Note ❌:

Open your email
Once you've supplied a name, your Cover Note will be instantly emailed to your registered email address.
The Cover Note will contain:
- Flock registration ID
- Minimum limit of Liability Indemnity
- Eligible UAVs
- Policy underwriter
- When the cover is valid from and to.
Now, even though you will 'pay as you fly', the CAA will still require you to supply when the Cover Note is valid to, so use the date on this downloaded Cover Note.
Included in the PDF is a sample of how your schedule will look, each and every time you purchase the insurance cover.
Conclusion
If you don't think a 12-month policy is right for you, then a Pay as you Fly Insurance is worth considering, starting from as little as a couple of pounds per flight (for low-risk factor areas).
A number of other companies are now offering Pay As You Fly insurance policies so please do shop around to see what works for you, however please ensure that they are EC785/2004 compliant.
If you are having issues with your policy, please contact your respected insurer.
